Story:

ArmorWall Vapor Permeable (VP) Structural Insulated SheathingTM was selected as the exterior sheathing material on the newest Restoration Hardware project in Charlotte, located just an hour away from MaxLife’s manufacturing plant in Salisbury.  The owners and construction team selected ArmorWall VP due to its ability to save time during installation and reduce the number of contractors on-site, which offers further time and cost savings compared to traditional materials and methods.

To meet the requirements of the new energy code in North Carolina, the architect and general contractor selected ArmorWall VP not only to meet the continuous insulation requirements but to receive added benefits of assured air and water barriers, rigidity and structural strength, and the ability to install the material faster than traditional products.

The installation of ArmorWall VP made their stucco façade installation very easy, as they could attach lath anywhere they wanted or needed to.  ArmorWall VP also increased the rigidity of the stucco siding, ensuring that the finish will last longer and require less maintenance for many years to come.

ArmorWall’s success on this project led to it being used nationally by Restoration Hardware on several future construction projects.
