Webinar: Technical Advances in Structural Insulated Sheathing (SIS)
March 4, 2021 from 12:30 – 1:30pm EST via Zoom
The presentation covers the thermal and performance efficiencies of a Structural Insulated Sheathing (SIS) assembly along with its excellent fire ratings and NFPA 285 approval. Attendees will learn about a variety of product details including how to attach a myriad of cladding and sub-framing systems directly to the SIS while providing continuous insulation and code compliance.
Continuing Education Credits:
Participants will receive 1 AIA-HSW credit for attending.
Attendees will hear about the various hybridized sheathing solutions available in the market and learn how the integration of advanced technology has improved performance, capability, and sustainability of SIS. At the end of the webinar, participants will be able to:
- Identify the characteristics of various hybridized sheathing solutions.
- Understand the benefits of magnesium oxide sheathing.
- Understand the benefits of fusion technology versus lamination/gluing.
- Identify how fusion based magnesium oxide SIS contribute to sustainability, constructability and versatility.
